A warm and refined visual identity that feels like working with a trusted friend.
The words that came to mind when creating my brand were warm, friendly, and refined with a hint of retro. The warm earthy colours that were chosen reflect my open nature, while the simple clean shapes were carefully considered to feel elegant but not flashy. The use of lower case letters in the word mark and icon further reinforces the down-to-earth vibe I was going for.
The palette consists of neutral colours in addition to black and white. The colours can be pulled back to use only black and white when shown alongside featured projects on my website to allow those projects to stand out. The visual identity was designed to reflect elements of my personality while showcasing my experience and the passion that goes into all of my work.
Icon design & animation
I designed the icon to act like an abstract shape as well as a letter, asking you to see it from a new perspective. You can see both a styled h with a curl or the fused letters h and b. You can also see elements of a figure eight representing the constant flow of ideas and creativity. I designed this icon to work alone as well as in a badge form.
The graphics are animated in a funky, friendly and active way bringing a fresh and engaging energy. The animated icon badge is shown here and you can see its application working on both a solid background and an image background.
When you work with me it’s not just a final deliverable you’re getting, but an active collaboration between me and you. My creative services are an extension of myself so I wanted to bring elements of my personality into the brand in addition to communicating the experience, care and passion that goes into my work.
